Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee beans: These beans are grown in northeast Africa, generally at elevations between 6,000 and 8,000 feet and harvested in fall through early winter. Ethiopian beans are sweet, fragrant and floral with a light to medium body. When blended with other more robust beans (like Sumatra), it adds a bright and sometimes fruity flavor to the cup.
Sumatra Mandheling coffee beans: These beans are grown on the island of Sumatra in Indonesian, generally at elevations between 2,000 and 5,000 feet. This particular Sumatran bean is earthy, rustic, bold and sometimes intensely aromatic. Blended with other lighter-bodied and bright beans, it creates a well-balanced medium bodied coffee, with a harmonious and homey feel.
BaseCamp is our "House Blend" and only year-round blended coffee, roasted just long enough to bring together both beans' unique flavors. These flavors come from the specific traits of the farms they are originally grown on, from the amount of sunshine available, moisture content, soil properties and altitude. Everything you taste in this coffee is 100% natural, developed solely from the craft-roasted blend we apply to both beans. The beans are chosen specifically from our Master Brewer to uniquely compliment each other. We add nothing!
